The Process

Airbrush Painting Process

Airbrush projects can be done in several manners. Keith will meet one-on-one with you, either in person or on the phone, to get an understanding of your desires for the graphics, colors, and layout. You can be very specific or give Keith’s team the freedom to be creative. Generally on larger projects Keith will generate a rendering and test color panels for your approval. Only premium products are used for Keith’s art, particularly, House of Kolor, Xotic, and Auto Air Color base coats.

All projects are prepped and sealed with a urethane primer/sealer. After a close inspection to verify the “perfect surface,” base coats and graphics are applied. When the artwork is finished, a clear urethane coat is applied to bury any mask lines. This coat of clear will be block-sanded in preparation for the final coats of clear. As a final finish, all clear coats will be color sanded and buffed prior to delivery.

Pinstriping can be added between the mid and final clear coat or after the final coat is applied at the customer’s request.

Whether you’d like skull graphics on your helmet or airbrush flames on a model racecar, the team at Airborn Art is flexible and available to satisfy the customer’s desires for their paint project.
